Theft by management

Valuables are not safe from management Before I went sightseeing on my stay in this hotel, I asked the desk clerk if my valuables would be safe in my room. He said they should be but that I could bring down anything I wanted for them to lock up. I had over 1000 euros in cahs that I did not want to carry with me, so I brought them down to lock up. They put them in a lock box and gave me no receipt and put the key aside. When I arrived back later and retrieved my cash from the lockbox, I could see immediately that someone had pulled some out from the rubber band they were in as before. I counted the bills and was 100 euros short from what I had brought down and deposited. Of course, the manager denied having anything to do with it and since he had not provided a receipt nor had I thought to ask for one, there was little I could do. I did go ahead and go to the police to file a report, but little that will do.

Here is the meaning of the title above: "Cheap, Convenient, Comfortable". Dominik Panzio Hotel probably one of the cheapest hotels in Budapest. Yet, it is warm and friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathroom is well-maintained. The staff is nice and very helpful. Breakfast is basic but satisfactory. Location is fine making it easy to reach city center on food. The metro station is 1 minute away.
