near the city centre
I enjoyed my stay at Drei Konige hotel last year. The hotel is close to the city centre but located in a quiet area. It is comfortable and clean. Breakfast and foods are very good. The hotel offers wireless internet access. My room was big and pleasant. |

Very basic
We found Drei Konige Hotel pretty basic but clean and comfortable. The room was large enough to accommodate a double + sofa bed without feeling too cramped. The hotel is well located to the tourist attractions of Lucerne. It’s a 15 - 20 minute walk away from the train station. The breakfast was very much plain, with nothing special. General speaking, for this price range Drei Konige Hotel was very fine choice – basically clean and comfortable. |

My wife and I stayed at the Drei Konige on 30 May, 2001. We were on a self-guided 3-week tour of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. The Drei Konige was our first overnight stop in Switzerland -- we took the train from Kempten-Allgau, Germany along the northern shore of Bodensee, then down through Zurich and finally Luzern. The hotel staff was attentive to our needs, and very friendly. The location of the hotel is fabulous -- just a few blocks out of the central city and within walking distance of the major sites. The breakfast buffett was good, typical of this part of Europe (juice, yogurt, breads, crackers, cheeses, meats, jelly). The room was comfortable, with a nice balcony to look over the street. My only complaint is that it did not have air conditioning, which meant that we had to leave the windows to the street open for air -- and that meant a lot of street noise. We'd go back. |
