The hotel was formerly La Villa Eugenie, the summer residence of Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie. The Emperor romantically built it in 1855 for his spouse who adored Biarritz since her childhood. La Villa Eugenie became a hotel in 1893, and has hosted many royalties, celebrities and generations of families ever since. Its luxurious decoration remains faithful to the Second Empire and antiques are lovingly restored by the hotel's craftsmen. The hotel offers excellent services and facilities, including a 3000 sqm, 5-storey spa by Guerlain, complete with all the latest fitness apparels and the Leonor Greyl salon. All rooms successfully combine this rich, elegant style with all comforts of modern life. The rooms overlook the Palais gardens, the Cour d’Honneur, or the pool and beaches, and combine refined decor with every modern amenity. These 27 sqm rooms are furnished in Second Empire style. They come well equipped, including wired Internet access, an LCD interactive TV, and comfy bathrobes. |
