The Hotel Eden was a fantastic place to stay after the hustle and bustle and sights of Rome. I loved the comfort of coming back to the people of the Hotel Eden after dealing with the rudeness I often encountered during my sight-seeing throughout the day. The concierge was especially friendly and helpful and did everything from book a guide or restaurant to mailing postcards back to the States. If you're looking for a comfortable room as well, this is your place! I didn't sleep in a more soft and comfortable bed that the Eden during my entire trip to Italy. Enjoy!! |

We spent the last night of our honeymoon here, and loved the pampering touches. The staff was eager & helpful, and we arrived to a welcoming basket in our room with a complimentary bottle of champagne, chocolates, etc. Charming! Dinner at La Terraza was terrific, with a great panoramic view of the city. Simply perfect accommodations (but at a substantial price, of course). |

I recently stayed at this hotel on my own for four days. It's expensive but it's definitely worth it (especially considering most hotels in Rome are expensive anyway) if you want to feel really at home in Rome.
This hotel is small enough to feel cozy, but it is definitely a world-class elegant hotel in every sense -- and it has a great location too (just off the Via Veneto and near to the Spanish Steps so you are close enough to everything but away from tourist traffic). From the second day onwards, everyone in the hotel knew me and treated me like an honoured guest in their master's grand palazzo. No wish was too trivial, no need went unnoticed. This is a hotel trained not to say no to anything reasonable and without questions -- so I had hot sandwiches at breakfast in place of the usual continental fare, half portions of pasta at midnight, and even a chance to say hello to the hotel's world-famous chef!
The Terrazza restaurant of the hotel, too, is probably Rome's best -- so make sure to have dinner here if you can. If not, the concierge has great suggestions on where to eat. I took my Roman friends to several of his recommendations and we were all very happy.
This would definitely be one's home away from home in Rome -- and this comment comes from someone who travels to Italy frequently for the love of it, and who has stayed in most of the best hotels in Rome. |
