Adequate hotel, but not the location!
We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the majoy sights and because it seemed good value for money.
The room was basic though adequate for our four night stay, however the bathroom was not that clean.
The breakfasts weren't up to much, the dining room was extremely small so made eating a bit of a mission. We didn't bother for the last two mornings.
Unfortunately the location of the hotal was less than favourable. Though good walking distance to sights, there were unsavoury characters always hanging around and we felt particularly unsafe returning at night. It is not a touristy area and therefore we felt very much out of place.
I would recommend hotels in the Plaka district for a better location. |

Enjoyable Stay
The hotel was in an excellent location, right in the heart of Athens. It was close to a major metro station and therefore making it an excellent base for a short trip to the city.
The only down point was the size of the dining area which was very difficult to move around in. Our room was clean and reasonably comfortable. I would certainly stay there again. |

Good value, decent place, but not the area around
We stayed at Epidavros Hotel for 2 nights mainly for the location to all the key sights (Acropolis, Ancient Market, Psiri nightlife). Its convenience to go shopping around that area and only 15 minutes walk to Plaka.
While the property met our needs, its location made us feel a little less than comfortable. The area surrounding the hotel appears somewhat sketchy and questionable. On a good size, our room was enough for our needs, very basic.
Basically Epidavros Hotel is very convenient in terms of proximity to the tourist interest points and the facilities are acceptably adequate, but just the vicinity the hotel is in does not give much of impression, otherwise I would recommend Epidavros Hotel as it was a good value for money. |
