great stay
We stayed here for 3 days. It was perfect. The hostel is close to everything. Rooms are clean tidy and comfortable. The hotel is easily accessible. We will stay there again |

Great experience!
My best friend and I stayed at Generator Hostel Berlin while we were backpacking through Europe in July 2007. We had a great experience at this hostel. We stayed in a dorm room. The room was clean and secure with private safes and it was only accesable with special electronic key card. Our room had a washbasin and at the end of the corridor there was a bathroom which was quite clean. The hostel offered a "all you can eat" breakfast which supplied us which the energy we needed before starting exploring the city. The hostel also had a wonderful bar where we tasted yummy cocktails and had wonderful times until very early in the morning. The bar's beer garden was an ideal place to relax, meet new people and have nice conversation with the others staying at the hostel.
Generator Hostel Berlin is the best place for backpackers in Berlin. It is affordable, clean and safe to stay. I highly recommended it! |

Awesome hostel!
My husband and I had the best time there. The room was great for a couple and we had our own bathroom and shower. The only problem is that you can't smoke there. Except for that, awesome bar, great bartenders, pool tables, TVs. Very very nice! |

Very basic budget hotel - the best you can find in the area
This is my third time at Generator Hostel Berlin and believe me this is the best budget hotel that you can possible find in the area. The hotel is situated in East Berlin, away only a 20min ride from the Alexanderplatz by tramway and next to a shopping mall and an S-Bahn station. The decoration of the hotel is rather unique and interesting, it is kind of futuristic. The rooms are very small, very basically equipped in a Spartan way, the WC and shower quite small, but generally they are OK – well worth the value. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is one of the strong points, very rich abundant breakfast. The blue lighted bar is very nice, full of youngsters, school excursions and backpackers.
Overall, I’d say that Generator Hostel Berlin is a very basic budget hotel that you can possibly find in the area. It’s basic but very much acceptable for the price you pay.
