Very basic hotel. 24 hour service means the manager is sleeping on the sofa in reception as you go in. Charged 17 euros for 2 croissants and 2 samll cans of beer. Rooms dark and dingy but sheets are clean. Not good value for money.

Gis Hotel is perfectly located near RER station. It is a nice simple hotel. Staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good. Rooms are comfortable and clean. I can recommend it for short stays

Me and my 9 years old daughter stayed at this hotel for two nights in August 2007. I chose to stay at this hotel because the reason for our trip was to visit Disneyland Paris and it was said to be close to Disneyland Paris. After a little bit of searching on the internet i decided to stay at Gis Hotel and it was a good choice really. The hotel is not close to central Paris but it is conveniently placed between Disneyland and Paris and is eaily accessable from there point both via RER A underground network. The station is only 100 meters from the Hotel which was nice. From there it took only 15 minutes to Paris city center and 25 minutes to Disneyland Paris. We stayed at a twin room at the 3rd floor which was comfortable with all the necessary facilities. The hotel offered a self service buffet breakfast at a reasonable price, it was quite tasty. This hotel offers comfortable accomodation for affordable prices and you do get good service in return of the money you pay.

Basic two star hotel
Gis Hotel is a good, basic two star hotel on the east side of Paris with three items to recommend it. It has parking free of charge if you are driving, the RER A train is a block away for access to central Paris and there is a large shopping center (Auchon supermarket) nearby. The staff were accommodating and helpful. Room were very basic, so did breakfast. However, for this reasonable value you get all you can possibly expect from 2 star hotel.

Worthy due to value and location
I stayed at Gis Hotel with my family for 4 nights. It was just fine for the 5 of us, no complaints about the hotel or surroundings. The RER station is nearby and it was convenient to travel around Paris and EuroDisney. There is a playground just around the corner, not far from the canal, which was definitly advantagous for us since we were with kids. There are a couple of late-night grocery stores and fastfood/take-aways on the main street close by. A large supermarket and a adjoining restaurant can be found about 5 mins away. For those not used to suburbs which are slightly rundown, the first impression may be a bit harrowing. However, it was perfectly safe for us to come back late night every night we stayed there. Gis hotel is very basic, but worthy due to value and location.
* Paris City Center - 15 minutes
* Disneyland Paris - 25 minutes
