* The site where 'Sigi's by The Sea' occupies has its schedule extended to accommodate additional details in order to ensure a premier and casual beachside dining experience. It shall be renamed and be fully operational by early September 2009. The Sunset Lounge is currently closed for makeover. When it reopens, the lounge with its center platform will feature a spectacular 360 degree views of the resort's grounds and gardens. It shall be operational by early August 2009.
* Work has commenced and shall be completed in phases. This encompasses part of the existing lobby, the new Cool Lounge , Gymnasium, Spa Center, lift landings, ballroom and function rooms scheduled for completion by the end of September 2009. Work on the remaining section of the lobby encompassing the reception, porte cochere and lobby shop commences in September and is scheduled for completion by mid December 2009. At the same time, the landscaping around the resort will be enhance with more trees, plants and shrubs. |

* The Seaview rooms at the Shangri-la Golden Sands offers king bed and overlooks the sea, tropical garden and lagoon style pool. The rooms are equipped with two arm chairs, writing desk and a sitting area. These rooms are located on the 3rd and the 6th floor.
* The Island rooms at the Shangri-la Golden Sands offer king size bed, two arm chairs and sitting area. The rooms overlook the hills and are located on 1st - 7th floor of the hotel.
* The Garden View rooms at the Shangri-la Golden Sands offer king beds, two arm chairs, writing desk and comfortable sitting area. The rooms overlook lagoon style pool and the tropical gardens. |

1. No penalty for cancellations up to the defined cancellation deadline of Golden Sands Resort by Shangri-La Hotel Penang.
2. Cancellations made within the cancellation deadline will be assessed a 1 night room rate unless cancellation policy is defined different.
3. No-shows will be assessed a 1 night room rate unless cancellation policy is defined different.
4. No cancellations on or after check-in date.
