How disappointing!!!!
We booked in this hotel for one night during May 2010. When we at last found the hotel, we were very disappointed. It is rooms on the first or second floor of a building, no proper reception. Not really a hotel, maybe third class guest rooms. The man at reception was very unfriendly. We arrived at 12:00 and as the room was only available from 14:00, we were told to leave our luggage on a pile of luggage that possibly belonged to other guests, and come back later. No proper security. The guest toilet was extremely dirty and the dining hall surely does not look like that of a hotel. Needless to say, we left and decided to lose the money. We booked into a much better hotel for the same price as Goldener Baer. Surely this hotel is not worth the money.

I stayed there for 2 days. The hotel is well located. It is easily accessible. It has a warm atmosphere. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is OK. I recommend it for short stays

Cosy budget hotel
I recently stayed at this hotel and can easily say that this hotel is good for those who search for comfortable stay with affordable prices. The hotel is a small and cosy hotel situated at the center of Vienna. Transportation is so easy with U1 and U4 subway stations and several other tram stops around the hotel which together allow quick access to the main sites in Vienna. My room was clean and cosy with a safe, TV, telephone andhairdryer. The buffet breakfast i was offered was OK. Overall the hotel was a clean and comfortable hotel suitable for budget travellers.

Adequate accommodation in a nice location
Goldener Baer Hotel is a small, cozy hotel located in the center of Vienna. With nearby transportation links its very easy to reach various tourist sighseeing places, like the famous Ring, Votiv church. The hotel itself is very plain, nothing to be impressed by. Rooms are very tiny, like anywhere else in Europe, but clean. The staff were always friendly and helpful eagerly giving advices on directions and places to see. The only pitfall that we experienced while staying at Goldener Baer hotel was the smell of smoke in public places of the hotel. However, since we were out of the hotel most of the time, it didn't really disturb us. Goldener Baer Hotel provides with adequate accommodation along with friendly service and convenient location. We had a good experience at Golden Baer.

Great location
We have stayed in goldener Baer Hotel on two seperate occasions. Hotel Goldener Baer is a small and cosy hotel conveniently situated in the center of Vienna with easy accessibility and availability of transporation.
The rooms were small but clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Overall, with a great location and adequate accommodation Goldener Baer Hotel is a nice place to stay.

Value for money
A wonderful hotel. The stuff were very friendly and helpful. There was a limited choice at breakfast, but otherwise it was adequate. It's perfect for tourists who want to stay a few days in Vienna sightseeing. Tram D stops only fifty meters from the hotel. You can take it from west station. If you like walking, there are several interesting sights within walking distence.

Goldener baer
The hotel was a very big disappointment. I thought I was getting a good deal, like i did last time in Vienna when the hotel I orderd via the web costs €90 a night for a doubleand it was really good. This one costs €85 a night for a double but was terrible. Both hotels have three stars but the difference is enormous. Breakfast was served with old bread, in awful surroundings. The rooms were simply not clean, everything looked smudgy and worn down. To pay 85 for this is really ridiculous. I thought i should let you know because this hotel does not offer what you expect from a three star one. Someone of your organisation should take alook at it and it should to my mind be taken out of your list, with kind regards, Olga Fischer
