We were dubious about booking the Hotel Suisse Majestic. I don't think their website does the hotel justice. While the 'Belle Epoque' style is charming the renovations have subtlety updated the hotel to a comfortable modern standard. The service was fabulous, the rooms on the lakeside have fantastic views over LacLeMan and the food and drink are wonderful (which is reflected in the price). We had a Junior Suite which was extremely spacious, with a wonderful modern white bathroom with bath and shower. The single room lakeside was ample for one person and had the same facilities on a smaller scale including the wonderful balcony with view of the lake and the bath with shower. The prices are not cheap however for a stay in Montreux especially for the festivals the location can't be beat. I would definately recommend the hotel for a luxury stay in Montreux.
