Apr 15, 2010 Grand Hotel Verona is located in the center of Verona, in a historic building in Art Nouveau style built by the Reichenbach family, nobility from Austria, as their residence in 1920. It was subsequently transformed into a hotel without minimally modifying its exterior appearance. Renovation in 1993 and subsequently in 1996 helped create a pleasing blend of classic and modern styles while fully conforming to current fire prevention laws and regulations.

The modern, simple and elegant style is flanked by authentic antiques and by paintings and sculptures made by well-known artists from the twentieth century. These are offered by the hotel for the pleasure of a particularly refined clientele that appreciates a proper combination of comfort and elegance, culture and art. Special attention has also been given to "security". This should be emphasized because hotel guests greatly appreciate the security criteria that have been applied and that comply with to current Italian law.

LOCATION

Grand Hotel Verona is situated in the centre of the city, facing the large main street which leads to Piazza Brà, where the Roman Theatre called Arena is.

PROPERTY AMENITIES

Breakfast buffet is served from 7.00 to 10.30 in a wide room, where 120 guests can comfortably be received. Room service is also available, on request.

* The Restaurant, exclusively for groups and meetings on reservation, offers the most refined dishes of the regional tradition and international cuisine as well.

* The Bar, open from 7.00 to 24.00 hrs, with room service also available, offers interesting enogastronomic proposals to the customers.

Great Location Helpful Staff

A wonderful hotel locating close to the main tourist attractions in Verona. Very helpful receptionist who provided us with a map of Verona and a discount card for dining and shopping upon checked in which was very much appreciated. The room itself is roomy and comfortable, with a balcony looking out the main road. The lady at the breakfast was so kind and cheerful which really made a great start for our whole day of site visiting in Verona. An overall very nice hotel.

We stayed here in September 2003. It was the nicest hotel we stayed in on our 2 week holiday in various places in italy.Excellent rooms very spacious, good location just outside the city walls and walking distance to the train station.The breakfast was very good with lots of choice.Reasonably priced for Italy

Stayed here for two nights. Verona was the third city we were visiting as part of our honeymoon and chosen as an opportunity to catch the opera. Furthermore it was my wife's birthday and the hotel presented her with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. A nice touch and very quickly arranged as they only got this information from her passport. The hotel is located approximately 10 minutes walk from the train station and the same from the arena(where opera is held). Hotel has a lovely courtyard and garden where some vistors sunned themselves. Room was a good size and breakfast substantial. Plan to return for another visit to the opera (magical) and will without hesitation stay in the Grand Hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Hotel for two nights in May 2004. This is a small, well maintained hotel with a very comfortable atmosphere. We found the hotel personnel to be delightfully friendly and helpful: the doorman, the desk clerks, the breakfast servers and the maids. The desk clerks were glad to provide information about and driving directions to Verona area sights - we chose to visit Lake Garda. The hotel is a convenient 5 to 10 minute walk from the Piazza Bra. We found the hotel easily and appreciated its proximity to a parking garage that was only 20 to 30 meters away. We had a non-smoking room that looked out on the hotel's garden, a place of tranquilty in the city center. We enjoyed a nice buffet breakfast each day.
