Very city central and good service
Right opposite bus station, could not be more central - but could be a bit noisy (trams, road noise etc) Staff very good and helpful, and breakfast good though not huge choice, but all well cooked/presented - good for short stay since only 7km to aiport from bus right outside hotel

Shady Location
Although its reception is nothing to write home about, the hotel room was one of the best that I have stayed in Europe. The bathroom is also fairly large and comfortable. The hotel's location (somewhat across a very busy railway station) is a definite minus. So is the lack of parking.

excellent hotel
Grandhotel Brno is perfectly located near the city centre. The hotel has a charming atmosphere. Staff is professional. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is amazing. I will stay there again

Pleasant stay!
Me and my girlfirend stayed at this hotel during out trip to Czech Republic during October 2007. It was a pleasant stay! From the very moment we entered from the doorstep the hotel staff welcomed us in a friendly way which was persistant during our stay there. Our room was in medium size, clean and cosy with average facilities. The hotel had a spacious reception area with a cosy bar where we had relaxing times. The restaurant and the cafe bistro offered delicious food for reasonable prices. Grandhotel Brno hotel was an excellent base to start exploring the area. It took only 2 minutes to get to the city center and from there everything was again within walking distance. Grandhotel Brno is the ideal place to stay if you are in Brno.

Grand
Whilst not entirely living up to the "Grand" label this hotel is absolutely fine for a few days stay. Good central location. Front hotel rooms can be noisy with trams. Staff courtesy varies - not all are sure about smiling at guests.

Not impressed but very much pleased
Grand Hotel Brno has a central location on the edge of the central city area. All attractions are in easy reach, and it is opposite the central station. My room faced the main street, but that was no problem with ear-plugs. It was freezingly cold outside, but the room was quite comfortable and warm, as was giganic bathroom. Reception was functional. All in all, Grandhotel Brno was a very optimal place to stay while visiting Brno.

Outdated yet comfortable enough
A three night stop at Grand hotel Brno was part of our Europe trip. Our stay in this particular hotel was left with very much positive impressions. Service - very friendly and helpful, nice welcome. All the front desk staff were comfortable speaking English. Rooms were enormously huge with high ceiling. Decor was dated but everything was very clean. Bathrooms were huge with brilliant water pressure. I found it a bit noisy at night because of the people passing by. Restaurant was OK. It was convenient and was nice enough though nothing particularly special.

Definitely recommended
The Grand is a superb hotel opposite the main station in Brno. The bus (76) from the airport stops outside the door, virtually! The hotel seems to have been recently refurbished, with a very stylish feel to the rooms, reception and the restaurant. I would recommend asking for a room at the back if you don't want to be woken up by the trams at 4 a.m.! I would be very happy to stay here again.

Strategic for train and flight travel
A house with tradition, efficiently managed by an Austrian group. Very close to the railway station and the city center. Delicious breakfast included, rooms might need some refurbishment. I liked their Xmas decoration and the choice of specialities they offer for dinner.
