We stayed at the Grange City Hotel for a weekend and found it to be extremely adequate. Any problems we had were sorted quickly and efficiently, straight away. Our view was amazing - we had a room on the 11th floor which directly overlooked the Tower Of London and Tower Bridge. I have never enjoyed 15 minutes of ironing so much in my life! Our TV didn't work but was fixed immediately after mentioning it to the staff and everyone was extremely helpful at all times. As for the previous reviewer complaining about the swimming times for children - they were advertised in all the leaflets and info booklets regarding the health club. I'm sorry - but if you don't read the info you're given I find it hard to see why you then feel the need to complain about it. Or maybe that's just me! Stay at the Grange, enjoy the facilites and chill. You're there to relax - don't stress everyone else out by moaning about everything.

I came to the Grange City on a hen weekend with a party of 24 others. The hotel is fabulous - very luxurious and the rooms live up to the same standard. Check in for 24 of us was flawless and we were greeted very warmly.
Breakfast was superb and we also shook off our hangover with a swim and a spa in the health club in the basement. The hotel was great in every way and each one of our party enjoyed themselves immensely.
Tip - if you find yourself in the West End late at night and need to get back to the hotel quick - take the night bus N15 for just ?1

Location is excellent - right next to Tower Hill tube, overlooking the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Couldnt fault the room at all, service was good and prompt, breakfast was exactly what was ordered, and tasty. Why get ripped off in the West End when you can treat yourself to a weekend bargain only a few tube stops away. ?‚?100 very well spent.

This is a high-quality, business hotel. The rooms are large for London and are in excellent condition. The location is good for business in the City, but I wouldn't recommend it for tourists as the area becomes pretty quiet at night and weekends. The decor appears expensive but I also thought it tacky. Just me?

This place is great if you like to take a swim or jacuzzi as part of your stay. The hotel has a 25 metre swimming pool as part of its really well equipped health club, incredibly rare for any hotel, never mind a central London hotel! The actual hotel has very opulent public areas and certainly makes an impression. The tourists particularly appreciated the Roman Wall running along the back of the hotel! My executive room was large with a balcony overlooking the Thames, I couldn't have asked for any better. The staff were helpful and went out of their way to make my stay perfect. I'd return here in a flash. Make sure you check out the hotels own website for fantastic weekend rates!

my friend and i got a late bargain on this hotel, and what a bargain! one night stay for ?40 each!! the facilities were perfect, swimming pool and health centre were amazing. we had a great swim in the morning to recover from the night before. the restaurant -we only bought some chips, and i remember them costing about ?2 for a small portion, but oh well. the room was superb and the view from the window, amazing. CD player, sat TV, nice bathroom (with bathrobes) and 2 double beds - lovely!!

We found the City Grange on a websearch and were reluctant to book it as it was slightly out of the centre. The trip to London was for our son's 9th birthday and in the end, The City Grange was the only 5 star available with a Quad/Family room. We got a rate of ?114 with breakfast for all for of us as a last minute deal, so value for money was main incentive! Now, I have to say we were blown away. Firstly, the location is amazing! We live an hour from London and go there all the time but this tiny peice of London was just so beautiful and perfect for young children. It was quiet, just off a huge green, opposite the tower of London (2 mins walk) and there was a Pizza Express and a Chez Gerard's within a 3 min walk. You really couldn't ask for more and I have to say, the Tower of London was just AMAZING for adults and children. Back to the hotel though, we did have some problems with check in and they tried to convince us that the four of us would fit into a twin single room. We did get moved with no apology but after that is was just fabulous. The quad room we had was HUGE! It actually slept 7 as it had two king doubles, a single sofa bed in the reception area of the room and another double sofa bed in the room. It had a double shower and a bath with shower and it was vast for a London room. The pool was absolutely beautiful and far better than the pictures, just sheer indulgence and they loved kids splashing around too! The hotel also has a gorgeous little bar that is seated outside in a safe environment and the children can run around and look at the Roman wall! The hotel has great restaurants too and reasonably priced but the cheaper ones to shut at 6pm. Oh, it is so perfect for a family break. Breakfast service was almost too gushing and efficient and the staff were overly kind and filled my childrens pockets with sweets! All in all, the perfect place to take the children and have the best time ever! Almost forgot, the carpark, which is so stylish and safe is only ?2.50 a day!! The hotel can tell you where it is. GO STAY AND HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!!!!
