Facing Palazzo Strozzi, in the center of Florence, the Hotel Helvetia & Bristol Florence is situated in the ideal location where you can get to know Florence. The lounges, exquisitely decorated with an elegant, yet extremely comfortable, homelike ambiance, exude quality without flamboyance. The entrance is a little on the small side but is watched over by immaculately groomed staff who really try their best to see to a clients every need. Restaurant with original stained-glass, conservatory-style roof. Rare “cotto” floor tiles from Southern Italy; mirrors on the walls. Adjoins Belle Epoque bar. Artists such as De Chirico and Boccioni used to meet here to discuss the Avant Garde. Fine Italian cuisine includes some Tuscan specialties. À la carte dining offered. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served. Afternoon tea is also offered (pastries).
* The hotel offers concierge service, 24-hour room service, and secretarial services. Small (6-7 people) and medium-size meeting rooms (35 square meters) are also available. |

We went to Florence for our wedding in November. I found a great rate for the Helvetia through gtahotels ads and so was expecting a room on the small side. Yet, the Helvetia took great care of us. They gave us the one room - 363 - with its own balcony. And eve...
