lovely hotel
Helvetie Hotel is centrally located near the attractions of the city and station. It has a charming historical atmosphere which fascinated me. I stayed there for 3 days. The front dest staff is very helpful. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Rooms are in good condition. The hotel offers great breakfast. I recommend it for short stays |

OK!
I stayed at this hotel in March 2008. It is conveniently located in the Montreux, and is only 200 meters from the Lake Geneva. The hotel offers big rooms with high ceilings. The room i stayed in was clean and comfortable. The breakfast the hotel had to offer was ok, and the atmosphere and service was so friendly. Nice for short visits! |

Reasonable old charming hotel
While planning our trip we struggled with rocking prices of Switzerland, but got to manage to find something reasonable. Helvetie Hotel seemed like a good 3 star hotel.
Moreover, reviews set us more positive of our choice.
Well, Helvetie Hotel has some mixed points. The hotel is presented in old world charm, built in 1800’s. Our room was gigantic, due to a high ceiling, and huge windows, overall, clean and very comfortable. There was some little problem with hot water, but eventually during the day it was fixed.
Helvetie Hotel is ideally located in the heart of town, opposite the casino and close to the main shopping area. Yet casino did create some inconvenience due to noise pollution during the nights.
Breakfast room was elegant and breakfast itself offered a huge variety of delicious goodies. Another nice plus was a computer for guest use. However the main plus point of Helvetie Hotel was the friendly service.
All in all, we had a great time at Helvetie Hotel, and would thoroughly recommend, since it’s very reasonable place to stay compare to expensive Switzerland. |

I had booked this hotel through gtahotels - and booked because the price was very inexpensive. We arrived at the hotel, who was awaiting our arrival. The hotel is tucked in between some stores. The hotel had a beautiful old charm about it. I wouldn't call it shabby, like the other review. The hotel was older, but had modern modifications (nice large bathrooms, tv with cable, phones). It had a nice "old world" charm about it that my family fell in love with. The rooms were nice and large and well, of course, its Switzerland, very clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We checked out early but were able to leave our bags at the counter while we went to Chateau de Chillon for the afternoon. I would highly recommend this hotel for its charm and old world personality and of course for its hotel hospitality. |
