What a charming place! Felt like a struggling writer /artist getting inspiration. Very well located in Chelsea in a nice, residential neighborhood. My room shared a terrace overlooking the street with iron (not plastic) table and chairs. Staff was super sweet and helpful. Great value. Bring a clock, hair dryer is under the desk.

The staff at this hotel is wonderful to me. I was stuck by myself (as a teenager) in London on 9/11. Although they were planning on being completely booked, they assured me that I would have a place to stay and that they weren't going to put me out on the street no matter what. I can't say just how great they were to me. They were concerned with helping me out - even giving me tips about buying phone cards and other ways to save money. The rooms were tiny, but comfortable. There are little teasets in each room and the hotel is generally quite small and charming. It's basic, but very affordable. The only thing that drove me crazy - perhaps I did a little too much shopping at Harrod's, but there is no elevator to the very top floor where I stayed. Also, the elevator can either hold you or your suitcase, but not both (if you shop as much as I do!). All in all, it's in a convenient location, the staff is amazing, and the rooms are comfortable!

I really enjoyed my stay at this little hotel. The room, while quite small, was well equipt, clean and a great value. It's a very short 2 minute walk to the tube. You'll thank yourself for staying here w/o blowing your budget in this very expensive city.

I think the Henley House is a great little hotel. We stayed in room #1, which is one floor down from ground level, and loved it. Our room was large and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was completely tiled and fixtures are all new. The only thing I can fault the room on is that the shower is very small. There were three of us in the room with three single beds and all our luggage and we still had enough room to feel comfortable. The breakfast was really good and was served in a very cheerful conservatory. I don't think you could find a better place in London for the price.
