This is an Hotel I have known about for 27 years but never stayed in until this September. My Aberdonian in-laws have always considered this to be THE hotel to stay in. Therefore I was very disappointed to find that,although clean, the double room we were staying in was so small that there was only room for a bedside table on one side of the bed as the other side was only about nine inches from the wall. The desk staff were all very helpful, however the attitude of the bar manager was less than helpful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The hotel itself was not very well laid out with regard to accessability. I am a registered disabled person and was allocated a room on the second floor at the opposite end of the building to the lift. To get to the room entailed climbing numerous stairs and negotiating several passages and corridors.
