Thanks for the wonderful breakfast
We recently stayed at the Hilton Amsterdam Hotel at the airport. It was very convenient, but best of all we enjoyed the WONDERFUL breakfast especially the POFFERTJES pancakes.

Stayed at the Hilton last Easter and loved it! While the location is some distance south of the main canal area, it is quieter and there isn't the problem of fumes from passing canal boats. The hotel is located less than 10 mins walk from the Vondalpark (wonderful huge park where locals actually outnumber the tourists and is fringed by trendy but laid back restaurants). The Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum are also only a 10-15min walk away from the hotel. The Hilton was modern, comfortable with friendly staff. We chose this hotel because of its excellent sports facilities and while the personal trainer was very helpful and the well equipped fitness room was top notch, you should check the opening hours in advance.

Loved the hotel, I still rave about it to my friends and colleagues. Fantastic view of the city from my room, the executive lounge is fantastic and the staff are all very helpful. I always look forward to staying at this hotel.

We stayed for a week-end at a summer sale rate and got an excellent value for money. The location is really good. NOT in the city-center but two stops behind museum square by tram plus 5 minutes walk in a beautiful (and apparently safe and absolutely peaceful) neighbourhood. The hotel was redone in 1998 and that was made in a solid way. Nice interior. While we heard people on the hallway we never heard anybody from neighbouring rooms. Get a room towards the canal, enjoy the terrace (in summer) and you will love it. We discovered Amsterdam from a different ancle. Just a great experience.
