My wife and I accompanied by our 2.5 years old daughter have just returned from Barcelona staying in the Hilton. The hotel is in an upmarket part of the city with excellent shopping, a fair smattering of good eateries and above all is in a very safe area frequented by lots of Spanish families. The welcome at the Hilton was truly first class.
Lots of smiling faces and a welcome gift for our daughter which was a really nice touch. We ended up on a business floor (not sure what the standard floors are like) which included a very well equipped gym. The rooms are not large but still spacious enough to take a cot and are modern and well equipped (mini bar, coffee machine, marble bathroom, satellite tv with movies). Complimentary tea, coffee, mineral water and apples strangely enough. The hotel is set back from the main road and traffic noise is not a problem indeed we had 3 excellent nights sleep which I wish I could replicate at home! The breakfast buffet was included and very good. % stars might be stretching things a little but I would rate this hotel as an excellent 4 star with 5 star staff and a relaxing location with good links to the main sights (excellent tourist bus at 19 euros for 2 days unlimited travel is just 10 minutes away).
One word of caution. We took a taxi from the airport and we were ripped off by an English speaking driver supposedly from Girona who was very friendly and long on small talk. He charged 35 euros for a 17 euros trip. Thankfully the hotel arranged our return taxi which cost 17 euros.

A great hotel, everything we expected. Reasonable price - it was included in the deal. Very helpful and polite servis. Clean and beautiful rooms, well equiped. Wonderful bed. Though not central, we had no trouble getting around, there is a subway station 7 min walk away. First class breakfast.
Nothing to complain about, we enjoyed this hotel a lot/

I just returned from Barcelona where I was for a big convention. Our company had probably booked one third of the hotels' rooms. Although we generated a lot of revenue, we were a big, sometimes noisy crowd that crowded the lobby bar at any time. But staff never lost their friendliness.
The Executive floor rooms are very modern but not as spacious as other reviewers mentioned. The bathroom is spacious though. The Clubroom is by far not as exclusive and comfortable as i.e. the one at the Prague Hilton. This one is a dark spot with tables lined up as in a cheap restaurant. Not worth it.
Some points to be mentioned: room service breakfast is fully charged, even if your rate already includes breakfast.
And, a colleague has been robbed (briefcase with wallet, laptop) at the reception while checking out. So, keep an eye on your stuff, and not only in the hotel. This happened to many participants of the convention during their stay in Barcelona. Not such a safe city.
