We have have just returned from a wonderful weekend break in Belfast. Having read the negative comment posted on this site regarding the unfriendliness of staff we feel that such criticism is totally unfounded. In our experience the staff were extremely pleasant, friendly and chatty. Overall we found the hotel to be excellent and the food and service was of a very high standard. One point to note if you are intending staying in this hotel is that the hotel carpark is privately owned and costs stg?‚?10 per overnight stay.

Stayed for 3 nights with my wife on one of the Hiltons special offers, couldn't fault the hotel or the staff at all. Nice spacious room [ odd numbered rooms have the best rooms ]. Full buffet breakfast perfectly represented the world reknown Ulster Fry, while the dinner was excellent, both in terms of value & content. Finally, 2 for 1 cocktails between 4 - 6pm with attentive waiter service [ particularly the Turkish guy ] made for an excellent short break in this fasinating city.

Overall a great stay. The view from the room was lovely. The bar and main restaurant really impressed me with their food although the bar can can get really busy during happy hour attracting many locals. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was modern and clean. The indoor pool is quite small so don't bother going down unless you want to use the gym.

Great Hotel, it has a good bar attatched & lovely restaurant for main meals. If the comments from before are relating to the Italian/Spanish staff then that is the European way -dont expect them to say "Have a nice day!" this is Europe! The room was great, high ceilings, great shower and immaculate. The porter went out of his way to find me a toothbrush - a small gesture but it made a big difference to my day!
Would definately go back on another business trip.

We stayed at the Belfast Hilton for the weekend. I thought the room was quite disappointing I had stayed in better appointed hotels in Donegal. We also had the noise of the trains going past quite frequently which I didn't expect. The food in the restaurant was excellent but the waitresses left a lot to be desired- need proper training.
The bar was very quiet and dead - no atmosphere at all.The reception staff however were lovely and friendly. Car parking was expensive even with discount from the hotel.

This is a top-notch, relatively new Hilton. The rooms are fantastic and the food was wonderful. It was in a good location and there was ample parking (so long as you don't have a big car). It was the best value of any hotel we stayed in in Ireland (or in this case Northern Ireland). We took a great tour of the city from the hotel. President Clinton stayed there a year or two ago (they display the pictures to prove it). Extremely clean...classy and a good value. No complaints.

Stayed in the Hilton for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Found the front desk staff to be very helpful and the service was excellent. The room was spacious and looked out over the River Lagan. The bathroom was a 'double' with an extra large bath. The trains did go past but this is a city centre hotel and they wern't that frequent. The self service breakfasts were plentiful with a wide range of different foods available. The car parking can be expensive and we paid ?14 midweek and ?10 weekend per day.
A great place to stay and a great city.
