Value for Money Hotel!
Excellent Hotel. The location of the hotel is very convenient literally all the sightseeing is within a walking distance! On top of that service is excellent and the hilton staff always friendly and helpful.

Hilton Vienna Plaza - an excellent hotel, but
Hilton Vienna Plaza is an excellent hotel, including location, location, location, service, service, service, room arrangement and facilities, breakfast, other hotel amenities ets. However, disregarding the fact that most of the dissent hotels worldwide wold provide you with free wireless and LAN Internet facilities , in this hotel, they would charge you 6 Eur per hour or 22 Eur per day. In my home country, hardly anyone pays this sum per month for broadband at home. Except this web intrigue, this hotel is an excellent choice.

Hardly the most distinctive hotel in the world and its situation doesn't give much sense of the attractions of Vienna, but as a large corporate hotel, it is well appointed and smart. Rooms are pleasantly decorated, though not huge. Public areas are pleasant.

I stayed for two nights at the Hilton Vienna in June, 2004. Knowing that the hotel had just reopened after a substantial renovation, I was nontheless surprised that the hotel was not totally new. Everything on the inside, from the lobby, restaurant, elevators, and particuarly the guest rooms, is new. The guest rooms have a light, airy and very modern feel, somewhat like a W-Hotel. The staff were all very nice, particularly at the executive lounge. For those arriving from the airport, the CAT train pulls into the city at the Wien Mitte station across the street from the hotel, saving guests the trouble and expense of a taxi. Unless one is looking for an old Vienna look with antiques, etc., this hotel should be on anyone's list for an efficient, modern hotel in Vienna.

Recently re-opened after a thorough renovation, the Hilton Vienna looks brand new inside. The new furnishings and fixtures throughout the building are all very good quality and have a lot of style, as does the sculpted art in the lobby. The colors are fresh earth tones and yellows.
It is a Hilton, and a bit sterile, perhaps, but the staff were very helpful and manged the flow of visitors well. The food in the bar was okay, and the breakfast, at 24 euro is a bit steep when there is a wide selection of quick and convenient places just across the street at the metro station.
The Hilton Vienna is conveniently located right on the edge of Stadtpark, near one of the main metro lines and the CAT airport train service. An easy 15 minute walk from downtown.
My only complaint would be the lobby - despite high ceilings, is a bit smoky (as is most of Vienna).
I was on business, and for a business hotel I would probably choose the Hilton over the nearby Marriott or InterContinental.

It is rare that a hotel leaves nothing to be desired - this one does. Newly renovated from head to toe, absolutely clean, smart and functional rooms, great location, sumptious breakfast buffet (make sure it is included in your rate - 24 EUR!). I'll be back!

This is a really nice, fairly modern hotel in a great location directly on the Vienna Ring. THe city center is a 5-10 minute walk. Streetcars and subway stop very nearby. (BTW: take a 2 Euro ride on the "D" line stopping directly outside to final station in Nussdorf and enjoy any one of the non touristy "Heuriger" wine cellars. Far better than Grinzing!)
The location means of course a lot of road noise, but the windows block out any racket very effectively. Rooms are fairly large and quite comfortable, up to Hilton's fine standard.
The staff is very polite, accomidating and efficient.
The breakfast buffet is OK, no more no less. The choice was underwhelming, but additional items could be ordered from the somewhat harried staff.
The concierge, Gabor, was great, very knowledgeable and effective.
