Clean and classic, this hotel was not meant to be charming but rather, convenient. It certainly was that. We booked this hotel for the last night of our vacation, and paid just a song for a huge family room with one full bath and one half bath. High quality bed linens, excellent mattresses, and Neutrogena toiletries gave it an extra touch. It was utterly spotless. After two weeks on the road, it felt like heaven, and we saved enough on our car rental to cover the cost. The air conditioning was fully adjustable, and when cranked up, it could have frozen ice cubes. (And don't let anyone convince you it doesn't get hot in Scotland.) The restaurant service was stellar, the food not bad. Our rooms were soothing and soundproof, though the terminal is literally across the street. The rooms were also a decent size -- your typical Holiday Inn. Checking in at the airport is a breeze, and so much less stressful than fighting traffic. The front staff was a little cool, but very competent. Budget Rent-a-Car was literally next door, the others just a few steps away. For a great airport location, I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Well maybe I got the worst room in the place because my opinion of the hotel differs a bit from the previous reviewer's. The hotel itself is extremely convenient to the airport and the free coaches into the city.
Cross the street and you're there.
HOWEVER... the parking lot was under some kind of construction and we never did find our way in. We simply returned the rental car and the car hire company dropped us off at the hotel. The building was overflowing with people, mostly business, the day I was there. That meant lines. In fact, I rang the front desk three times without getting an answer. I finally gave up. Visitors can expect to wait in line here and there. I'm a Priority Club member and I'm used to getting a little extra at Holiday Inns because of it. I really didn't feel all that "special" in this Holiday Inn even though my reservation was made nearly 6 months ago. No express checkout, no morning paper, nothing.
When we saw the line for breakfast, we simply left.
I did not find the hotel overly clean and our room was small with a heavily used appearance. The bathroom (which I did not find as large as the previous reviewer) did appear to be fairly clean and was well stocked with towels. The entire first floor lobby, restaurant, bar, lounges, etc. were horribly smoky at all hours. The food in both the bar and restaurant weren't all that great.
I would say that if you are looking for convenience to the airport, this is certainly the best choice. However, if you are just arriving in Glasgow for a vacation, there would be much better choices. I would stay there again for my last night in Glasgow because of the convenience to the airport. But I would not have any expectations other than a bed and a shower.
