A pleasant Hilton, much like most of the others. The distinctive features are the frienldy and pleasant staff, and the nice fitness centre. It's some distance from anywhere useful, but very accessible form the M1.
Breakfast's not half bad either. |

This hotel has to be one of the worst in the Hilton UK chain. If your idea of luxury is a rough B & B, then you may want to stay here.
We booked a Dinner, B & B rate for 2-nights. When checking in we were informed that dinner was not available, due to a party in the restaurant. We were offered room service of Bar service as an alternative. The room we were given was pitiful, a tidy scruffy shoe box, would be the best description.
After escaping the hotel for a few hours on our first night, we arrived in the car park at the same time as the police riot vans. It appeared that the party had got extremely out of control. The hotel was crawling with police and sobbing women!
Basically if you are thinking of staying here, travel the extra distance to the Hilton Leeds or the Malmaison, you will be very pleased that you did. |
