All things considered, this is the best hotel in Munich. The view from the rooms on the city side is fabulous especially at sunset. (Be sure to reserve one of these rooms when booking.) Also it is possible to get to the S-Bahn station without having to go outside which is a great benefit during bad weather. The breakfast buffet is excellent but the dining room can be a little hectic with tourists in their morning feeding frenzy. |

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. It is an easy ride on the train from the airport (you do not have to change trains). It is located in a nice part of Munich, and all parts of Munich are easily accessible. I have stayed here for both business and pleasure (Oktoberfest). The rates are reasonable, even when breakfast is not included. The breakfast buffet is very tasty. The hotel bar serves good beer. The rooms are ugly, but who cares, because they are always clean. The bedding is European style (the Duvet/blanket is small). There is a small mall beneath the hotel which has a bakery, supermarket, restaurant, and subway stop. This is nice because if you have to take a trip in the rain, you don't have to emerge to the street to get on the train (unless you choose to). The staff is friendly and bilingual. The pool and sauna are very, very nice. The sauna is coed, and the Germans enjoy very natural attire (shy people beware). |
