Great Place.. Hotel is situated off the main road, friendly staff, great service, shuttle bus to Naples centre etc. Great base to travel around.

We stayed at this hotel in June 2004. I thought it was good value for the rates charged: small but clean and modern rooms, comfortable beds, good (but not excellent) breakfast buffet. Staff were helpful and attentive. Walking to the city centre is not really an option from this hotel, but given that Piazza Garibaldi is really just a giant bus and train station and that the city centre is pretty drab at night, I was quite relieved to have stayed at the Centro Direzionale. The shuttle service worked well, but the shuttles are small (so get on the queue for them at least 15 min before scheduled departure). Taxis to the city centre cost about 10 euros. Don't be alarmed by the hotel's appearance when the cab pulls up: the Centro Direzionale separates car traffic from pedestrians, so when you arrive in a car you end up approaching the hotel from the back entrance, rather than the front.

October 2003. We staye at the Holiday in for 4 nights. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Staff is very pleasant and professional. The beakfast buffet is very good for a 4 star hotel. We also had the evening buffet which was great. There are only two problems: although we had a room on the 14 floor we heard the noises from the market below all night. For people who do not like to walk the hotel is a bit far out. The hotel has a shuttle though. We were very happy that we had not chosen a hotel on Piazza Garribaldi-far too seady and unpleasant. Going to Pompeji and Herculaneum we used the train Circumvesuviana which was very cheap and always on time (every half hour). The clerk at the informationdesk of the train (Piazza Garibaldi) was extremely helpful and nice. Actually people went out of their way to help. Don't let rumors of crime keep you away-it's no worse than anywhere else. It is a place with the same kind of theatrical charm you find in Fellini's films
