Modern accommodation in convenient location
My husband and I spent three comfortable nights at the Hotel Cornavin in Geneva while making a visit to CERN. It is a sparklingly tidy and efficient business hotel, with pleasant and helpful staff at the front desk. Geneva has quite a few different hotels near its railroad station--this one seems to be the best.
Very conveniently, there's an underground entrance to the train station just outside the hotel's front door. You can walk down into a big underground shopping area, avoiding not only rain but also street-crossings.
Our room had comfortable beds in that northern European style where two single beds with individual puff comforters lie squiggle up together. We had a view of the Juras Mountains over the top of the railroad station
The hotel is very proud of having "the world's tallest pendulum clock" running up 8 stories high from its lobby. The mechanism visible from the 5th floor is fascinating.
Overall, at Hotel Cornavin we had a very pleasant stay in a modern accommodation and convenient location.
