Hotel Des Indes, a Luxury Collection Hotel opened its doors in 1881 and has hosted aristocrats, kings, heads of state, and celebrities. Originally built as the town residence of Baron van Brienen, the personal advisor of King William III in the seventeenth century, the property was sold only four years after the Baron's death and was soon renovated into a luxury hotel.
