Great location
We have stayed Des Trois Couronnes by chance. The hotel that we have booked initially had some problems allocating us so we were redirected to Des Trois Couronnes. And could not wish for better. The location is ideal for visiting the Cite and strolling along the river bank. The Hotel was very busy but the reception staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was on a top floor with a balcony with a view of the Cite. Sitting on the balcony with a drink in one hand looking at the Cite under floodlight was a pleasurable experience. The downside would be a bit outdate or tasteless décor of the rooms, but we were not bothered by that. If the location matters for you, then Des Trois Couronnes is to be the choice, but if looking for a luxury then this one would disappoint you. However, personally for us, Hotel Des Trois Couronnes was a perfect place to stay while visiting Carcassonne.

Good location-poor interior
Poor standard of accommodation for a 3* hotel. It relies on its location to get it through. The rooms and public areas have had nothing spent on them in a long time.
The dining area view, friendly staff, good food and wine saves it somewhat.
Overall boarderline average.
