La Gaude is located on a small peak in the middle of Mediterranean generous vegetation between Vence and Nice. In the past this village was agricultural and nowadays a pleasant residential village. The old castle of "Marquis de la Gaude", deserted and then fell in ruins at the Revolution, have been restored very recently by new owners. This impressive building (which is private) dominate the village however you cannot visit it. |
