Adequate place to stay but..
At the time we stayed in Gothia Towers, the hotel was extremely busy. We had to wait at the reception to check-in but when our turn came we were checked in very fast by a very professional receptionist. We were assigned to a nice room, modest but clean. All the hotel’s facilities were extremely busy, we couldn't get a table to eat lunch in the rooftop bar, and both the restaurant and Piano bar were closed for food. We reverted to Room Service, and the quality of food was excellent, with a fast and efficient service. Staff quality and friendliness overall was high. The buffet breakfast was also good, but again the restaurant was very busy, with queues. The hotel is opposite the famous Liseberg amusement park, and is close to the Ullevi stadium and Scandinavium arena, which was convenient for us. If not the full occupancy of the hotel that created queues everywhere, then Gothia Towers is a nice place. |

Fabulous hotel
Having read the excellent reviews of Gothia Towers hotel we had high expectations and I was not disappointed. Having booked our room for a very reasonable price and we were not sure what we would get but we had a compact but clean and modern room on the 16th floor with excellent views over the city. All the staff we encountered with was friendly and spoke excellent English. We only had one small problem with our room on our second night when the plugs and bathroom light would not work. However on bringing this to the reception staff's attention it was fixed within 10 minutes. The shower in the room was excellent and the bed was comfortable.
The breakfast was extensive - catering for all tastes. For some the location can come inconvenient but not for us. Gothenburg is not an enormous city but the hotel is out of the way of the main streets. It takes about 10 minute walk to the main streets which did not bother usat all. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Gothia Towers and we would definitely recommend this hotel. |

While in the process of relocating to Gothenburg, we were fortunate to spend 4 nights here. The location and veiw were both great. Our hotel room was very HiPP and stylish. From the porthole on the bathroom door, to the suede chairs, and the soft damask linens, we were living in comfort. Room service was also very good, since we have a small child.
Would highly recommend, especially if your intending to go to Liesberg Park, its across the street. |
