A group of 12 spent 7 nights in the hotel January, 2004 and all felt it was a wonderful experience. The staff was attentive, the food good, and the rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious (by European standards).
Only English channels on TV were CNN and CNBC but we weren't there to watch tv but have an European exprience. Hotel centrally located to attractions in Innsbruck. Everyone in the group agreed that if they were to return to Innsbruck the Hotel Grauer Bar will be the place to stay. |

We stayed at the Hotel Grauer Baer for six nights in January 2001 and loved it. Our room was large and very comfortable. The bathroom floor was heated! We thought the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We are actually going to do the same trip again in two weeks, except this time we are taking 10 of our friends with us.
We feel sure they will enjoy it as much as we did. I highly recommend the Grauer Baer! |

My husband and I stayed at the Grauer Baer, APRIL 2003. It's newly renovated. Quaint mix of old charm with fresh light colors. The rooms are large with very nice furnishings and moderm bathrooms, very clean and the service was friendly and accommodating. The food in the resturant was delicious and nicely presented. The location is ideal, a short walk to the historical district and shopping. I highly recomend it. |

For the past 16 years I have led a group a skiers to Innsbruck. We have stayed at the Grauer Bar the last 14 years. In that time the hotel have been updated at least four times. The staff, led by the owners of the hotel have been great. They have gone out of their way to help first time visitors to Innsbruck. The newest rooms are wonderful. The food in the restaurant is wonderful, but travel a few blocks to the Kaiser Stube for the ribs. |

Excellent Hotel. We (20+) stayed at the Grauer Baer while in Innsbruck for a ski holiday (18-23 Jan 04). The hotel is a typical 4 star European hotel. We were on the meal plan which included breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was cheeses, fruit, breads/rolls and cereal with scrambled eggs/sausage. Dinner was always four well prepared courses with two options for the main entree. The entree selections changed daily and included pork, beef, chicken, fish, and pasta recipes. Additionally, the hotel has is a fine dinning restaurant that has an excellent menu with a good selection of wines. The staff was always very courteous and rapidly responded to all requests. The rooms have few amenities by American standards, but are clean and well maintained with ample storage for ski and daily clothing in the wardrobes. If you have a room facing the street, it is nosy with the window open shutting it solved the problem. The only negative comment I have is the ski storage room is too small to easily store ski equipment. In summary, I would return to the hotel. It has an outstanding location, close to Old Town and attractions, and provides all the comforts needed for an enjoyable European holiday. |

Grauer hotel is pretty nice. Very conveniently located. Suggestions for improvement: brighter lighting, wash clothes, Some more English speaking TV channels besides CNN or English subtitles. |

This hotel is located very close to the old town and centre of Innsbruck and hence is a only a short and easy walk away from shops etc. The rooms are of a good size and the generous sized bathrooms have under floor heating under the tiled areas. The mountain views from our window were devine, meals very good and staff pleasant to deal with. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. |

My family (2 adults, 2 young children) stayed at the Grauer Baer for 1 week's skiing in Feb 04. We had a Suite which was good value comprising separate double room and large sitting room with comfortable double sofa-bed, table+chairs TV etc plus a large bathroom; bath plus walk-in shower and double hand-basins. Facilities throughout Hotel excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Hotel arranged childcare for our youngest child which was great although not cheap. Food good too. Located in the Old Town with excellent sight-seeing opportunities. Great for skiing with 6 areas to enjoy using free ski-bus, although we used own vehicle - typically 15-30 minutes drive to ski areas. Overall, strongly recommended. |

We stayed at the Grauer Bar for 9 days in Feb. and our group of 10 (2 families with 6 children between us) enjoyed the hotel, its staff and amenities very much. This was our 6th European ski trip (and probably our 10th visit to Innsbruck ) and the hotel is typical in terms of the food offered, size of the rooms, and decor. It was better than most in the terrific location, quiet rooms, friendliness of the staff, helpfulness of the front desk, and common areas. Our children didn't even whine over the lack of English tv but why in the world would they have expected this 5000 miles from home? The group of 48 should get out a little more - imagine ... preferring McDonald's for breakfast over the offerings of the Grauer Bar. |

This hotel was one of four that we stayed during our honeymoon. It was wonderful. Location is perfect, it is perfectly clean and well-maintained, and the staff is very friendly. We were upgraded to a suite for free because we were honeymooning (be sure to let them know if you are too!), and there was a complementary bottle of champaigne waiting for us when be checked in. Great feature: the bathroom floor was heated (in our room, at least). A GREAT value, and highly recommended. |
