Great for its location and quality
Our trip to Italy was unforgettable and our experience at Metropole Suisse was one of the memorable. This family fun hotel was so personal in service that it definitely a bonus. The hotel looks like outdated, but I found it to be a unique character. Our room had a stunning view of the lake and mountains. The room was very comfortable; all the amenities are like from the other century but worked just fine. The breakfast was so much plentiful and had a great variety to choose from.
The hotel enjoys a great location, located in the main square, heart of the town, and directly on the lake. All in all I would really recommend spending a few days in Como and certainly the Metropole & Suisse is a great place to stay for its location and quality.

Old fashioned hotel - high quality service
The location and friendliness of Hotel Metropole Suisse Au Lac - family run hotel made our stay memorable. We had a room on a 4th floor which was overlooking the lake that gave a magnificent view, besides the room was reasonably sized and very airy.
Staff was superb but breakfast a little disappointing. I would definitely recommend Hotel Metropole Suisse Au Lac to travelers who like the old fashioned service and quality long lost in many newer hotels.
