We stayed 5 nights in the hotel (November 2003). The Hotel Pariz is magnificent and we love it's location, service and the daily breakfast at the Sarah Bernhart Restaurant (the breakfast was included in the room price). Our room was not that spacious but it was clean and comfortable. The Reception/Concierge staff (specifically a lovely lady named Zuzka) was excellent. The hotel's concierge arranged our tours to Kutna Hora, Terezin & Auschwitz (in Poland) with no problems. My husband & I had a great time on this trip and I definitely will recommend a stay in this art noveu hotel.

The Hotel Pariz is a splendid hotel situated in a great location. On arrival we were given an upgrade to a Junior Suite, the room was spacious and well equipped with fixtures and fittings worthy of its 5* status. All major sights, museums, galleries, theatres and shops are just a short and generally pleasent walk away. There is a good choice of cafes and restaurants in the local vacinity, although wine is a touch pricey but after tasting the delights of the Sarah Bernhardt Restaurant you may not venture anywhere else. Throughout the Hotel Pariz elements of Art Nouveau add to the luxury by adding a sense of pomp and ostentation. Our stay in Prague was made more relaxing and pleasurable by the Hotel Pariz exceeding our expectations.

This hotel is one of the few attractive-looking hotels in Prague, which blends into the surroundings rather than looking like a concrete eye-sore. Our room was excellent, large and with a lovely bathroom with heated floor. The location is also excellent, only a few minutes' walk to the centre of the old town. The only complaint is with the staff.
They left a note under our door by mistake (it was meant for another room) which asked us to call a number urgently. When we did this, we realised that the message was not for us. However, the hotel insisted on charging us for the call, and when I tried to explain that it was the hotel's mistake that we made the call, they suddenly developed an inability to speak English. A minor point, but it left us less impressed with the hotel than we would otherwise have been.

We just returned from 3 days at the Hotel Pariz (Feb. 12-15 2004). I am pleased to report that the renovations are complete - in fact we were there for the re-opening of the Cafe de Paris. The hotel was everything we hoped for and more- the internet photos do not do it justice. The whole hotel is newly renovated and sparkling. We had a huge room (Junior Suite), which was elegantly decorated and furnished, with marble double vanity in the bathroom etc. The Sarah Bernhardt Restaurant is a very beautiful art nouveau room. The walls are decorated with green and gold mosaics as well as mahogany panels inlaid with leafy patterns in darker woods and mother of pearl. There are also original tables and light fixtures. We enjoyed two really excellent dinners here, as well as breakfast which was included in our package price. The staff at the hotel were all extremely helpful and pleasant.
The location is excellent, across the street from the Art Nouveau Municipal House, beside a Metro station, and less than five minutes walk to the Old Town Square. The hotel is located on a cul-de-sac so there was no street noise.
The Hotel Pariz deserves every one of its five stars. It is gorgeous.
If you have the opportunity to stay there - do so!

I have just returned from my second trip to Prague, beginning of May.2004. We could only stay at Hotel Pariz for one night, as it was fully booked. We spent four nights there in November 2002, and thought it was wonderful. This time I was shocked to see the changes to the lobby! Leather tub chairs do not suit an Art Nouveau style hotel, nor does the Tuscan style mosaic floor. I believe the Sarah Bernhardt Restuarant will also be re-furbished, PLEASE do this sympathetically, use a different interior designer!Otherwise, the hotel remains beautiful, with excellent service.
