Nice hotel
I spent two nights there and the room is quite nice. It's large and spacious, but far away from the city centre. It's very close to a bus station though, and using the bus you make 10-15 minutes till the centre. Overall, I recommend this hotel. The clerks are very professional.

Nice average 3 star hotel, you get what you pay for
After reading some strictly judgment reviews, we felt very apprehensive about staying at Hotel Polus, but still couldn’t change our reservation. Even though, we thought that Hotel Polus is an average 3 star hotel. Everything that you would expect from a 3 star hotel in this particular price range. Room was small but tidy and clean, with minimum of amenities, had some problems with TV and AC, but it was fixed in a while. Breakfast was basic, service adequate.
Location wise, Hotel Polus is a short bus ride to the city center. Overall, we’d say that Hotel Polus is an average 3 star hotel, nothing more to be expected. I personally thought that the value was absolutely relevant to the price. You get what you pay for.

VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY
I spent 3 nights, during, REDBULL AIRRACE 2007. Superb price of 39 EURO for that hotel. Nice, heated swimming pool (longer and warmer than MERCURE BUDA swimming pool). Very good breakfast for this price. Although is far from Centre of Budapest (9 - 12 km), excellent parking capabilities. Rooms are so, so. Receptionist Zsolt is of great help, what is not usual in star Budapest hotels.
