Riffelberg Hotel, Zermatt set in an alpine meadow 2,460m (8,069 ft.) above sea level, a 90-minute trek or a 30-minute cog-railway ride from Zermatt, this isolated hotel sits amid natural splendor in the shadow of the Matterhorn.
Built in 1853 by a local clergyman and purchased by the city of Zermatt in 1873, it has served ever since as a well-maintained hotel and restaurant, with the kind of views that restore health to bodies and minds. Because of its altitude, the area gets 8 full hours of sunlight in December, and even more in midsummer. Skiing between December and April, thanks to the nearby Gornergrat cableway, is excellent. |

* The self service restaurant can seat 300 guests and the sun terrace 400 guests. The restaurant is located just below the rack railroad station Riffelberg. The hotel restaurant accommodates 180 people and the attractive sun terrace, seating 200 people, offers a unique view of the Matterhorn.
* In summer you can explore the surrounding countryside by mountain bike, on foot or with Nordic Walking poles. When the snow lies thick on the ground you can don your skis or snowboard and go off to explore the 250 miles of prepared ski runs surrounding the Self Riffelberg.
* Hotel Riffelberg Lodge also features a bar, sauna and fitness centre. |

2. Cancellations made within the cancellation deadline will be assessed a 1 night room rate unless cancellation policy is defined different.
3. No-shows will be assessed a 1 night room rate unless cancellation policy is defined different.
4. No cancellations on or after check-in date.
