Inaugurated in 2004 and located in the western part of Siena, 1000 meters far from the medieval walls which surrounds the city centre, San Marco Hotel is a three star modern structure realized by the best Italian designers in order to offer to everybody a series of innovative and original services.
The hotel serves breakfast, while in one of the many restaurants, taverns or inns typical of Siena you will enjoy traditional Italian cuisine and Siena.In every room there's a list of the best good value restaurants (chosen by the staff for personal knowledge ) with opening hours, phone numbers, details and a map to spot them.
The hotel has 28 rooms, a spacious TV room and a bar open all day long.Our 28 rooms, all with ensuite bathroom (with shower) offer elements of last generation, as they're thermic and sound proof, and equipped with essential but functional furniture, to ensure a nice and relaxing stay; you'll also find hair-dryer, desk, tv-sat with pay-tv, air conditioning, safe box and minibar in every room.
Two rooms are accessible to disabled guests.
At the reception, you will receive all the information regarding the shows, restaurants, museums and attractions not to be missed.
As car access is forbidden in the centre of Siena , the Hotel is an excellent basis for those wishing to explore the city. You can also visit the Chianti region, the Val D'orcia, Val di Chiana (Montepulciano and Montalcino) and San Gimignano, which are located just half an hours from us. You also have the opportunity of leaving your car in the parking and reaching the centre by bus (the urban bus service for the Duomo is available every 15 minutes from 7:30 to 20:30) or you can get there walking (about 20 minutes) or by taxi.

The Hotel San Marco, is situated in Colonna San Marco area, in the western part of Siena, 1 km from the historical centre at the exit ''Siena Ovest'' of the Siena-Firenze-Bettolle motorway
How to reach us:
North: Once at Firenze-Certosa A1 exit follow the directions to Siena. Entering Siena's Tangenziale continue on the main road until Siena Ovest (West) exit. Follow signs to the town center (right). After 200 m, on the right side of the first roundabout is our Hotel. The main entrance to our parking is just before Shell petrol station (right hand side).
South: Once at Valdichiana-Bettolle A1 exit follow the directions to Siena and then signs Tangenziale, Firenze and Grosseto (right). Exit at Siena Ovest (West) and follow the signs to the town center (left). After 100 m, on the right side of the first roundabout you find the Hotel. The main entrance to our parking is just before Shell petrol station (right hand side).
From city centre, bus station and railway station: you can take the city bus number 3 (runs every 30 minutes until 8.30-9 p.m.) and get off at the "Colonna di San Marco" stop (ask the driver) which is 100 m far from the hotel.
Taxi stops are in front of the train station or close to bus station (Piazza Matteotti) or you can phone at 0577-49222 to call one.
SATELLITE BROWSER: if, in addition to these information, you also want to use a GPS, be careful because our address-Via Massetana, 70 - is often not recognized. You can try with Strada Massetana, 70 - but never follow the indication to Massetana Est - which is located 10 km far from Siena and has nothing to do with the Hotel.
