had great time in India.
As I read in the rough guides that Delhi in the night was not safe but it was not like that. I was staying in Hotel Tara Palace which is located in the busiest place of delhi. When I saw the small alley going to the hotel I was afraid but when I arrived in the hotel it was unaccepted that the GEM in the small alley and very clean . 24 hour hot water was great for me.Beautiful Red Fort view from the roof top. Next Day I met the travel desk next the hotel who helps me the rest plan of India to Rajasthan, varanasi , mumbai, bandhikui, haider quli, goa. At the end I realized that I had the great service in India but only if you go goa say him first we need hotel near the beach because I didnt say him and I stayed first night away from the beach and then he changed my next 4 nights near the beach which was so good and it happen only with my one phone call. appreciated.

had a great time in this hotel
The airport pickup guy had to wait 2 hours for our late plane - no problem, he was there and we connected easily (this was at 2am in the morning!). The middle of the night arrival at the hotel (we came from the U.S) was a bit of a shock, but it turned out to be perfectly ok. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is right within easy walking distance to all kinds of shopping as well as to the (excellent) subway station. The clean rooms provide top sheets on the bed . The food at the roof top restaurant is marginal (we only tried breakfast), but there is an excellent restaurant within walking distance on the same road (called KARIMS).This hotel also arranged a car for us to return to the airport . All worked out great! For a day tour by english seaking driver for around $30 by the travel desk from the hotel, we would highly recommend . He is quite trustrworthy and will show you a great time! Tell him, Dutch recommended him!

Nicest budget hotel in Delhi
One of the nicest budget hotel in busiest shopping district in Delhi. There are mainly Tourist family or couples. It is dual dominated environment and surprisingly quite safe. My mum and I stayed at the hotel in our own separate rooms because we could afford the cheap rates. Room service & customer service is great. Special hi to the guys at the reception called pawan and Kapil who always had a smile on their face, they really used to make our day especially when heading back to the hotel after a long busy day of shopping. I generally dont find people in India very friendly like us Aussies so it was nice to see some genuine friendly cheerful faces. I recommend eating at the hotel because the Indian food is served there that great. Though I wouldnt recommend females to venture out after 10pm when the area gets quieter. Its safe as long as its busy and crowded. The rooms are nice and the bed is softer compared to some beds I have slept in other hotel. The hotel was very busy while we were there I guess due to the peak season. If you are looking to do some shopping then I recommend this hotel. I will definately go back there again.
