You get exactly what you pay for
I just got back from a short trip to Riga, where I have stayed at Hotel Tia. For the price I paid the hotel did exceed my expectations. The hotel is in nice surroundings, just approximately 5-10 minute walk to the old city that makes the location of Tia very ideal. Yet to get somewhere further, there is a taxi service, but watch up not to get ripped off. As for the interior of the hotel, the lobby area was large, clean and newly decorated where you can find complementary internet connection. My room was small but not as small as I expected for the price I paid. The bed was very comfortable and bigger than regular single bed size, there was plenty of storage space, desk space. The breakfast was moderate, but fresh and plentiful.
The service in general was very satisfying, the room was cleaned on daily basis, the reception staff was friendly and professional even not spoke good English.
All in all, I really enjoyed my stay in Riga and Hotel Tia was exactly what I paid for.
