Hotel Vecellio is an excellent little, 3 star, boutique style hotel, with only 8 rooms. The hotel stands overlooking the Lagoon towards the islands of Murano, Burano, and St Michele.
The hotel prides itself on its meticulous attention to detail and its location, being no more than a 15 minute walk from the beautiful Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. However, if guests prefer to use the water-bus (vaporetto), then the stop is literally outside the hotel's front door (guests should also note there is a direct water-bus link to Marco Polo airport from outside the hotel). Privately owned, and proudly run, by Signora Doralice, the Vecellio Hotel is a little gem of a hotel, slightly off the well-worn tourist track, but well worth a visit. |

Hotel Vecellio is situated at Fondamenta Nuove - the long promenade on the Northern side of Venice. St. marks square and the Rialto bridge are within 15 minutes walk though you may prefer to take advantage of the water-bus which stops directly in front of the hotel.
Through its windows it is possible to admire the Northern side of the lagoon, with the islands Murano, Burano, Torcello, Mazzorbo, etc., and from here the boats leave, connecting these islands to Venice. |

Hotel Vecellio has a little lounge-bar situated on the ground floor where continental breakfast is served in the morning and 24 hours bar service is available. On request is possible to have breakfast and champagne, served in the bedrooms.
* The hotel arranges tourist routes through the historic centre of the city and excursions in the lagoon.

When visited Venice for second time I have stayed at Hotel Vecellio for 2 nights earlier in October. The hotel is run by family which is very accommodating and friendly. Room was cozy and nice, yet small in size as any hotel in Venice. It was clean and had all...
