The Imperial Hotel, Russell Square, London
My husband and I have just returned from a 3-night stay at this hotel, we were pleasantly surprised in all aspects of our experience here. Our double room was a real good size, professionally serviced each day, the staff at the foyer were very helpful & friendly, the breakfast area was so luxurious & large, the breakfast itself was perfect, tea/coffee served at your table, underground stations close by, trendy bars, shops, etc..... In our opinion we could not fault this hotel, it was an amazing experience, everything we needed & more!!!

Noisy Hotel at Russel Square
This hotel is situated perfectly or your visit to London. Real close to St. Pancrass train station, a metro station round the corner andthe British Museum and downtown London just minutes away by foot.
Unfortunately the rooms are very noisy. The noise from outside is constantly and even the wind gets through the windows. The rooms and specially the bathroom are clean. The full English breakfast was great.

centrally located
Me and my boy friend spent 2 days at Imperial hotel. The hotel is perfectly located close to the city centre. Rooms are a bit small but comfortable. Breakfast is good. The hotel is modernly decorated. It has a nice bar.

Surprisingly good find for London
Frankly speaking, I did not expect a lot from Imperial Hotel but it turned out pretty good. The hotel is about a couple minute walk from Russell Square station which is on a handy subway line if you are going to check out shows in the West End. Saying that, it's located in a residential area so there isn't a lot going on in the immediate area. You need to walk to the subway station before you'll see shops, cafes, etc in abundance. It does get somewhat quiet at night but it felt safe.
The rooms itself aren't huge but for London it was alright. The value is good considering what you would need to pay for another place that close to the city center. The room was clean and service was fine. I was allowed to check in at 10 am which was great. Overall, Imperial Hotel was surprisingly good find for London.

Stayed here several years ago and was impressed with it. Beware, the rooms are TINY. I had a single and could barely had room to put my suitcase on the floor. The staff was helpful and the Russell Square Tube station was a few minutes away. I would stay here again...
