Good Hotel
My husband and I stay at La Bourdonnais recently for 3 days. We found the hotel centrally located for sightseeing in Paris as well as taking boat trips. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size considering that hotel rooms in Paris trend to be small. The price and service was excellent. We would stay there again and would recommend the hotel to others for sightseeing in Paris.

My husband and I decided to stay here with our toddler in March, based on the reviews. The hotel is in an ideal location for tourists, within walking distance of many tourist destinations (and the Metro, for those farther afield), plus the grocery next door and Rue Cler around the corner allow for easy provisions. Though our room didn't have the most updated decor, it was very clean and the spacious bathroom looked as though it had recently been remodeled. The small in-room refrigerator was fantastic for our milk-craving child, and they provided a large pack-n-play as a crib. The elevator is a bit cramped with an umbrella stroller but still manageable, a definite plus.

Very few hotels in Paris allow a family of four to share a room. This one does!! It has a wonderful family room that has two double beds, a desk and chair. The bathroom was very large. It had a large tub, sink, and table, with the toilet in a separate closet. The hotel is located on a quiet upscale residential street. There is a full grocery store right next door so that you can purchase bottles of water or snacks. The metro is a very short block away. And restaurants are in every direction less than a block from the hotel. The hotel is located between the Eiffel tower and the Invalids; they are both a long walk. WE loved this hotel's location and found it to be very nice. Best value we found!

I don't have any experience with other Paris hotels, but Hotel Bourdonnais certainly met our needs for a well-located and comfortable hotel. The room was big for Paris - from what I've read - with two queen-size beds, a large bathroom, and a separate toilet and closet area. Also, there was a small TV for those witching hours when everyone needs some downtime but you're too wound up to sleep! The location was great for us; a short walk to Champs du Mars and then on up to the Eiffel Tower. Many brassieries and shops right around the corner and easy access to the Metro.

Just returned from 10 days in Paris. The Hotel de la Bourdonnais was an ideal place to stay. It is situated on a lovely, tree-lined street in the upscale 7th arr. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious for Paris. A metro stop, attractive sidewalk cafes, a supermarket, the Champs de Mars and Rue Cler are all less than a minute's walk away. The attitude of the desk staff is variable. Most are friendly and helpful. One or two are cool, but cooperative. Didn't eat breakfast in the hotel because the steep 10.50 euro pricetag can be bettered in any number of small cafes and bars nearby. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Hotel de la Bourdonnais for 3 nights in Jan. '04. We were pleasantly surprised when we got off the Ecole Militaire Metro stop and the hotel was one block away! After travelling all day, this was a great surprise. The three of us fit comfortably in the large room with 2 queen sized beds. There were french doors leading to a balcony facing the street where we could see the Eiffel Tower. You could not even hear any street noise. The bathroom was large with a double sinks, separate vanity, separate toilet, and tub/shower. The staff were very helpful. They speak English, but spoke French to us upon our request to practice our French. The Rue Cler neighborhood was cute with several shops, internet cafe, and a grocery store right next to the hotel. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here in November 2003 for 4 nights. We booked a triple/quad room that pleasantly turned out to be was a suite. There was a small sitting room and a very large bedroom with two double beds. The beds were a bit uncomfortable. The bathroom was huge and very nice! The room also had a small fridge which was very conveninent since it's located next door to a grocery store. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The location is near the Eifel Tower and the Hotel Invalides. The nearest metro station is about a 3 minute walk away - very convenient. The breakfast price is outrageous and not worth it, grab a pastry at the grocery around the corner. The location is quiet and a little far from many sites, but overall it was a very good stay, nothing fancy or extravagent, just plenty good enough.

Stayed in the hotel from 09/23-09/26/03. Nice hotel, great rooms, great location. Half a block to Ecole Militaire Metro stop, block and half from Rue Cler, half a block from Eiffel Tower. Have stayed here twice in the last 3 years, would definitely stay again and recommend

This is absolutely the best hotel I have experienced in all my travels.
My husband and I stayed there in September, 2002. The rooms are large, the staff is excellent and very accommodating and breakfast in the little sunroom was wonderful! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. And if you are wondering if the pictures are as good as the real thing, trust me, they don't do it justice.
The location is perfect too. After a day of sightseeing we would walk the few blocks to the Eiffel Tower and watch the lights come one from the park below.

I read the reviews here on gtahotels.com first before choosing it as part of an gtahotels hotel/flight package. Stayed in Room 401 from 21 Feb to 28 Feb 2004. Me, my wife, and my 2 preteen daughters. We found the beds comfortable. It was nice to see out the window and see the Eiffel Tower. The room had an oriental rug on the floor, lots of closet space, great double-paneled French windows --- which meant that we did not hear any street noise at night. The bathrooms were most impressive. A toilet in its own room, faux pink marble tiles floor to cieling, dual sinks and a separate table in the bathroom. This was much larger than our London hotel. We felt this was truly a great place for the price and location. Staff were friendly, rooms were kept clean. Thanks again for all the people who posted previously.
