We had a super time. The hotel staff was extraordinarily welcoming. Very willing to accommodate and please. The hotel was neat as a pin. We couldn't have been better treated. We would definitely recommend.

Stayed here in January 2004 after I saw a review at timeout, lovely hotel... the pictures you see on the websites like gtahotels really depict it nicely. The staff are so nice, perfect English at reception and very keen to help. Location is a bit out of the centre of Paris but the Metro station "Les Gobelins" on Line 7 is just 3mins walk away on the same street.Rooms are nice, especially the top floor where we were looking out over the Parisian rooftops. Lot's of pillows on the beds which make it look nice, it was comfy too although not huge. Rooms were of a reasonable size. Only downside was the shower you have to hold - quite a common occurance though I believe.Check the photos on the website and if it looks to your taste - book it!

Stayed in the Latin Quarter this September. Even though I called the day before we left to confirm our prepaid reservation, The Comfort Inn rue Mouffetard (3 star) was full for our first night and sent us by taxi to the Demeure. What a lovely surprise! Nice modern hotel with a friendly french atmosphere. The weather was still warm and this hotel had air conditioning which the Comfort Inn did not. The staff is very helpful and eager to help with any tourist questions. Will definitely stay at the Demeure on my next trip.

My wife and I spent 5 days at La Demeure and had a geat time. Our room had a balcony overlooking Paris. The place is very neat and the owners (father and son team) are a fountain of knowledge and did everything they could to make our stay better. They obviously really care about their guest. We got to know some hidden places only local knows and really enjoyed everyday of our stay. We will recommend La Demeure to our friends who want to have THE real Paris experience.

Not the fanciest hotel, but is a good middle of the road place to stay. The price is right and the location is great. It's not in the city center, but the walk from the hotel to Notre Dame is nice. The walk from the hotel to Notre Dame is definetely doable morning and evening. If you want to go further, you can always catch a cab from there. The room we had was average for French standards, but it was clean, with a nice breakfast in a safe area of the city.

I picked this hotel in Paris off the advice of Trip Advisor comments. Overall it was a good hotel and reasonably priced. The staff spoke great English and were very helpful - a real must if your French isn't great. Ask for a room with a view over the rooftops of Paris - it doesn't cost extra.
If you are not used to Paris hotels - expect a tiny tiny elevator that you can barely squeeze into. This is the case in all non-swanky hotels in Paris. (You are not in America anymore!!!) Also expect eeny weeny rooms, and see above. I am so sick of hearing Americans or English complain at how small their room in Paris was, or how small the elevator is. Rest assured this is everywhere, and not just your hotel!!!
So having said that, La Demeure has a very small elevator and small rooms. But it is clean, the decor is modern and tasteful (not Parisian floral), and in a nice area. Head to La Rue Moffetard for breakfast rather than the hotel, where at the start of the street there is a cafe overlooking fountain, market and people, and you can get your Le Petit Dejeuner for a fixed price of 6 Euro. (This gets you a croissant, half-french stick, jam, coffee and orange juice.) Down this road further is a pattiserie, boulangerie, market, fromagerie and restaurants. Buy some breads, cheeses and drinks and head for the nearby "Jardin des Plantes" where you can sit underneath a tree on outdoor chairs and look at flowers and people.
Digressing here, basically the hotel is very good, staff are very good, location is good and in Latin Quarter. It is air-conditioned which is important in Summer. Internet is unreliable or near on not working in most of the hotel, but you may be lucky or there are internet cafes as long as it isn't the weekend. If you absolutely can't be without internet, maybe this isn't the hotel for you.
There is a metro in both directions, and get a map with metro guide because this is the only way to get around Paris realistically, unless you are heading somewhere close like La Rue Moffetard.
Opposite the hotel there is a street of similar name, halfway down which is a "private club" which is reputedly one of the best in Paris, discretely signposted, and no-one on here mentions but I bet a few curious couples checked it out. Also stroll around the Seine and across to the islands, grab a cab in the evening to St Germain des Pres (which is hard to get to by metro) to drink kir champagnes or coffee, go to Rue des Lombards for the jazz clubs like the Sunset Club.
