After many stays at the Lausanne Palace I still cannot find any fault with this fine hotel, from the box of Swiss chocs and Carafe of wine in the room to greet you, to the amazing (and typically Swiss) service.
It begins when the bellman takes your luggage to your room without expecting a tip and the receptionist accompanies you to the room and makes sure all is in order, you begin to realise this is no ordinary hotel.
Stay in winter and the hotel is decorated with crimson ribbons and a Christmas wreath on each guest rooms door.
Stay in summer and enjoy the great views over the lake from the terrace (where breakfast is served).
The wellness center is impeccable with Roman styled pool and spa.
Of course it all comes at a cost, but amazingly not a very high one for Switzerland...
The bistro is a French styled multi-level brassierie with polished brass and dark woods serving classical French cuisine, also enjoy the piano bar and Champagne bar.
