Good location and hospitality
I never thought I would experience living the high life in London but it did happen because of my rich best friend. She invited me to London because it was her 18th birthday and she wanted me to spend it with her and some of her best friends. We have met when I stayed in London for summer class and since then we never stopped chatting online and emailing each other. I was in awe when I got to Le Meridien Piccadilly Hotel because I didn’t expect it to be that fancy. The friendly staff escorted me to Club Room where I would be staying together with my best friend. That room was really awesome and it even has space to accommodate guests dropping by. Staying at this room gave us access to the Club Lounge where we had a few drinks and partied. What’s great about this hotel is it is just walking distance to the Piccadilly Circus and seeing the large neon lights reminded me of Times Square. After a long day of shopping, we headed to the Piccadilly Health Club and the Bamboo massage was really heavenly. I never felt so pampered and special during my stay at Le Meridien Piccadilly.

Lovely weekend
Just returned form 3 night stay in Le Meridien. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room was very nice with large bed and plenty space. The full English breakfast was lovely but make sure its included in your deal as its very pricey. The bar prices were very expensive as well but the staff were excellent and made our stay very enjoyable. Would definately return to this hotel.

Stayed there 2 times with our 2 girls aged 12 and 15th, second room was half off through superbeaks. Stay was around 8 days each time. The hotel has one of the best locations, near all the action and plays and is like an oasis coming off Piccadilly Circus in a 5 star setting. The spa and gym are top notch and is accessible from the hotel. The breakfast is great in the atrium with proper English and very fresh seasonal fruits, excellent service. Rooms are well kept with nice linens and upgraded shower supplies. If you want 5 star in downtown London this is a great choice, we stayed at the Hilton Langham up on regent street before but it is a long walk up the hill.

I have stayed in several of the 5 stars hotels in London and never have I received such value for money. We booked the Hotel directly for a weekend away and was shown to a lovely bright room. Every single member of staff I met was smiling and cheerful. We decided to eat in the restaurant on the first night and the food was amazing, the way we were treated, we felt like royalty and breakfast each morning was superb! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Hotel, and I plan not to leave it too long before we return.

London was the first leg of my family's European vacation. We checked into the Le Meridien Picadilly after a grueling 9 hour flight from Atlanta where we were surrounded by three different sets of crying babies that tag-teamed their screams for the entire flight. We arrived well before check-in time and were delighted to find that our rooms were ready. The check-in staff were wonderful and seemed eager to help get us settled in. As we were travelling with another family we booked two rooms and were pleased to find two large rooms with two queen sized beds in each room. I had heard horror stories about closet sized rooms in London but our room was quite large, pleasantly furnished and had plenty of room for our family of four. The restaurants at the hotel are quite nice but relatively expensive for a family. The location is absolutely wonderful as the Tube station is 100 yards away, Regent Street is behind the hotel and Fortnum and Masons is across the street.
Buckingham Palace is a 10 minute walk, Trafalgar Square is 5 minutes away, and the Theater District is just minutes away. We found breakfast at several places around the corner and loved browsing the Waterstone bookstore across the street. The only negative to the Le Meridien in my mind is the lobby. I like 5-star hotels to have 5-star lobbies with large public spaces. I like to be able to collapse into a large easy chair after a day of sight seeing and discuss the day with friends and family in the hotel lobby. That kind of space is non-existent at the Le Meridien. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Le Merdien Picadilly.

I have just returned from a four night stay and would highly recomend this hotel. We were on a package air/hotel special with American Airlines. I was concerned about our stay due to some of the poor comments. We found the staff to be extremely helpful, the location perfect and the hotel wonderful. We did need to leave a note to the housekeeper regarding some items that needed to be left. Each time it was promplty done. This hotel is a very good value, especially for London. I think the people who complain should consider the top luxury hotels like Browns, Claridges, Savoy...They will also pay three times higher price. It goes to show some people are never happy.

The reviews written for this hotel is rather mixed but I guess it all depend on your personal experience. Stayed in this hotel for 6 nights in April 2004. The room that I got was rather big, confortable and clean. Luckily it did not face the Piccadilly road thus it was less noisy but there was no view from the window coz it was facing inwards opposite another building. The food in the hotel was fine but it got bored after the 3rd day of breakfast with the same menu. The location is superb for theatre, shopping and even the park. Took the bus a lot, bought my self the daily pass and lots of buses pass by to all major attractions. The tube was too crowded so prefer the bus. Hope to go there again soon.

My husband and I just returned from London. We stayed at Le Meridian Piccadilly because of bidding on accommodationow.com. I was worried after reading some bad reviews here, so my husband emailed the hotel and asked for a larger room. Wow...we got a SUITE! It was a two room suite with a foyer. The manager also sent us a complimentary fruit tray. The street noise was a little loud as its a busy street out front. I used ear plugs and slept fine. The location is perfect. We walked everywhere. Its very close to the theater district so walking at night to shows and dinner was fine. I would recommend this hotel. The staff were all very nice, breakfast in the restuarant was good, and the door man was pleasant to speak with. We would go back again in a heart beat.

I've stayed at this hotel twice, and I'd stay there again. The staff was very accommodating and easy to deal with. Given that the hotel is in central London, the rooms are adequately sized. Our room had two twin beds, a well appointed bathroom, and a terrycloth bath robe with a gentile 300 word entreaty (please don't steal our robes.)
We never ate at the hotel (why bother?) but the lounge areas are comfortable, albeit smoky, places to hang out, especially when they're not pre-reserved by convention groups (about half the time).
The close proximity to the tube and the theatre district is a double edged sword. Piccadilly is a busy street, with 4-5 lanes of traffic. I found the rooms facing Piccadilly to be pretty noisy. Given that I had a gtahotels reservation, I thought I'd be unable to change. It wasn't a problem. So, ask for a room that isn't facing Piccadilly.
The workout facility has been under renovation for a long time. The free alternate facility is a health club, two blocks away, but fully stocked. I went jogging around Green Park & Hyde Park, which are a five minute walk away.
I've stayed at nicer big city hotels (Intercontinental Sidney comes to mind) with more modern refurbishment. Like I'd imagine London?€™s Savoy or Mandarin Oriental to be. But I have no real complaints about this hotel, and I hope you enjoy your stay!

The location is simply perfect for tourism, a stone's throw from Piccadilly Circus. We had two rooms ?€“ one was a superior room, traditionally decorated, large with an entrance hall and seating area; very comfortable despite the furniture being a little dated.
The other room was an upgraded refurbished room ?€“ again, very large and extremely comfortable and very nicely decorated.
Downside: shamefully high bar prices, and they charged us for a minibar drink we hadn't had.
