Short Break at Le Meridien Pyramids
We spent 4 nights at Le Meridien Pyramids during March '06 after booking a 'No-Name hotel' on this site, giving us a huge discounted price for a 'top quality' hotel.
This was our 2nd visit to Egypt and we were both concerned about food/hygiene/tummy problems due to past experience. And we had absolutely no problems at all at Le Meridien. We ate in the hotel at all times and were extremely pleased.
Our room, which was exactly the same as in the hotel brochure/web site, was overlooking a busy road and unfortunately the windows were not double glazed so we did experience a lot of traffic noise, however, after mentioning this to Reception, they did their best to move us to a less noisy area but due to the recent 'eclipse' there were few spare rooms available.
Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The concierge was especially helpful. He arranged for a taxi driver to take us to the Pyramids etc for a full 3 hours for 110 Eg Pounds. While there, we both rode a camel around the area and later found that we had been overcharged by almost treble the going rate and when we mentioned this to the Concierge, he investigated and arranged for the overcharge to be refunded to us - we were really impressed by this level of service!
We would definitely use this website and this hotel again.
