Good Budget Option
The Leonardo is probably the cheapest budget hotel in Venice, and you get what you pay for: My room was pretty basic, with dated decor and the whole hotel was quite shabby. For me, the major problem with the hotel was the noise - my room was behind the reception on the ground floor, with windows looking out onto the street so i was woken up by people walking past and by the noisy night receptionist who had a bad habit of watching the tv with the volume up. The bed was also dissapointing - 2 fold out beds pushed together which weren't of equal height or length! Fortunately i was staying alone, but if i was sharing this probably would have been quite uncomfortable. Breakfast was poor as well - 2 packs of biscotti with jam, which i think is a bit too dry for anyone first thing in the morning.
On the plus side, the room was quite spacious, had a tv and the bathroom was decent with a good shower. The Leonardo is also very well situated between the train station and the Rialto, in the nice Cannaregio area. The staff (with the exception of the noisy night receptionist) were all English speaking, friendly and helpful.
Overall, I would reccommend the Leonardo as a budget option, it is very cheap and in an excellent location with decent rooms for the price. But beware of the noise and the poor breakfast. |

nice budget hotel
The hotel is nice simple and comfortable. Small but very clean rooms with basic amenities. It is just a short walk from the station and close to Jewish Ghetto. Staff is very friendly. Good breakfast service. The hotel is suitable for short vacations |

Good!
Me and my girlfriend have just returned from a wonderful stay at Leonardo Hotel. This hotel is ideally located close to bus terminal and it offers easy reach to romantic Cannaregio district and to the ancient Jewish Ghetto. The hotel has a welcoming reception and friendly ambience. Our room was a spacious, bright room which offered us the comfort we needed. The hotel gives you everything you expect from a 2 star hotel, and more... Good hotel really! |

Great choice location wise and good value for money
Location wise Leonardo Hotel was a great choice. It is just a short walk from the train station or bus station and just off the main shopping street which has a good choice of local places to eat. The hotel was overall clean, but the room was very tiny but comfortable enough. The breakfast was very plain though with not much of variety but stuffy. Overall, Leonardo Hotel was a nice value for money in all sense. |

Excellent service
We received an excellent service at the Hotel Leonardo in Venice. The hotel was in a really good location for getting around Venice and was affordable for the budget travelers like us. We had an en-suite room which was really clean and everything we would ask for. The only downside was that the front door got locked at 1pm and if you were back after this you got locked out for the whole night. This was not a problem for us as after long day of sightseeing we were ready for an early night but may cause inconvenience for some. Overall, we've left satisfied with Leonardo Hotel and delighted from our Venice trip. |
