The Lord Nelson Hotel is located in the city center wherein the Lime Street Train Station is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
Directions:
From M62:
∙ Exit M62 follow signs for city center. Follow the dual carriage way to the fork in the road. Take the left fork then turn right into Mount Vernon which becomes London Road. Follow this road to the bottom. At the traffic lights turn left, drive past the Empire Theater and turn left into Lord Nelson Street. The Lord Nelson Hotel is situated halfway up the street on the left.
From M53:
∙ Exit the tunnel following city center signs. Turn left on to Hunter Street. At the traffic lights turn right onto Norton Street, then turn right onto London Road, take the next left turn before the traffic lights on to Hotham Street. The Lord Nelson Hotel is at the end of the street on the left.
By Train:
∙ Exit Liverpool Lime Street via the Lord Nelson Street exit. Turn right and walk 200m and The Lord Nelson Hotel is on the corner of Hotham Street on the left.
Further a field the city of Manchester with it's football stadia (Manchester United and Manchester City), excellent shopping and airport is only approximately 1 hours drive or by train.

HORRENDOUS!
This is by far the most overpriced , shoddy hotel i've EVER had the displeasure to stay. The rooms are the size of a matchbox , there is no power point for your kettle , you have to drag the table over to the other side of the room and unplug the tv. Filthy bathroom floor and the manager Gary Watson was extremely unhelpful and rude when questioned about the poor service , I paid 75 pounds to stay overnight with a breakfast and when you go downstairs you are greeted with a loaf of bread , toaster and some cerial which you have to prepare yourself , if you want bacon , you must pay AGAIN!! The staff arent uniformed and the receptionist was smoking INSIDE the building on arrival. To top it all a member of staff let themself into my room at 11:15 to ask if I was checking out yet , checkout time was 12 o clock. There was also a private party during the night which meant sleep was very hard to acieve due to the noise and lack of control of the guests , Cannabis was also obviously being smoked in in the room opposite judging by the smell. This is not an over hyped rant , it is a genuine plea to anyone considering booking to think again!!! It is the sort of accomodation you'd expect at a 15 pound bed and breakfast for 1 on blackpool seafront. A disgrace to the good people of Liverpool.
