* Vong: Dramatic black marble and columns lead into a small bar area that overlooks the city from the 25th floor. With views of Victoria Harbour, the Thai-themed dining area is dominated by a solid-brass, lotus-leaf cauldron. Cuisine is contemporary French with Asian influences. Open for lunch on weekdays and dinner nightly.
* Man Wah: This fine-dining restaurant has rosewood ceiling beams and 50 lacquered-enamel and gold-plated ceiling lamps resembling bird cages. Tables feature 24k-gold show plates, carved gold-and-ebony chopsticks, tiger-eye stone napkin rings, gold-plated spoons, and bonsai trees in porcelain holders. Cuisine is Cantonese and seafood, with a selection of teas served from a solid-brass kettle. Open for lunch and dinner.
* Mandarin Grill: This restaurant echoes a European private club with its low ceilings, red carpets, hunter-green walls, dark-wood panels, bronze railings, and baby-grand piano. Cuisine emphasizes British and international fare, with steaks prepared at a circular char-grill and an extensive wine list. Open for weekday breakfast and daily lunch and dinner.
* The Café: The decor of this street-level restaurant includes mosaic floors, arched gold-stenciled columns, and rich colors. Light and healthy European and Asian dishes are featured, with a good range of wines by the glass. Open from early morning to late evening.
* The Clipper Lounge: Deep sofas and armchairs and low tables make this mezzanine lounge popular for afternoon tea, as well as lunch and dinner buffets. Open from early morning to late evening.
* Chinnery Bar: Named after the 18th-century British artist George Chinnery, this small bar has dark-wood panels, leather banquettes, upholstered armchairs, and mahogany tables. British pub-style cuisine is served, and 120 single-malt whiskies are available. Open from late morning to late evening.
* Captain’s Bar: This bar by the main hotel entrance has deep-red sofas, black-leather armchairs, and Chinese wall prints. Serving draught beer in silver tankards and light snacks. Open from late morning to late evening.
* Located on the 24th floor, the hotel's health club features a Roman-themed, 66-foot indoor lap pool surrounded by marble floors, columns, and statuettes.
* The 24-hour gym has free weights and cardiovascular equipment, including 10 treadmills with individual TVs and headsets.
* Other facilities include saunas, steam rooms, hydro-steam shower in the women’s section, and a hot-and-cold spa tub in the men’s section.
* The 24-hour business center has large windows overlooking the city and harbor; high-speed Internet access is available. |
