MARCO POLO HOTEL

hAVING SEEN NUMEROUS REVIEWS ON VARIOUS WEB SITES REGARDING THIS HOTEL,i WONDER WHAT THE REVIEWERS FROM U.K. AND EUROPE EXPECT FROM A 3/4 STAR HOTEL. HAVING STAYED IN NUMEROUS HOTELS THROUGHOUT EUROPE ,U.K. AND N.AMERICA, THIS HOTEL IS FAR SUPERIOR. SURE THE NOISE FROM THE DISCO WAS ANNOYING ON OUR FIRST NIGHT, BUT THE FOLLOWING DAY OUR REQUEST TO BE MOVED AWAY FROM THAT SIDE OF THE HOTEL WAS POLITELY AND EXPEDIANTLY ATTENDED TO. THE NOISE FROM THE PLANES WAS MINIMAL,THE CALLS TO PRAYER SAVES ONE FROM A WAKE UP, AND OCCURS THROUGHOUT THE CITY, INCLUDING IN THE STREETS, MALLS AND WHEREVER ONE GOES IN THIS MUSLIM COUNTRY. BRAKFASTS WERE ON A PAR, AND INDEED BETTER THAN MANY SO CALLED TOP HOTELS IN EUROPE. STAFF WERE ALWAYS FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS, HELPFUL AND SMILING. THE HOTEL IS CENTRALLY SITUATED AND HAS GOOD RESTUARANTS.THE STREETS WERE WITHOUT A DOUBT THE CLEANEST WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN THE WORLD.NO HESITATION IN RECOMMENDING THIS HOTEL

Good choice!

This hotel is a very good choice if you wanna stay in a clean room for a budget price (if there is a budget price in Dubai). The staff is very friendly and the pool on the roof is funny and nice. There is also a sauna. The location is good in the old part of the city. The streets arround are a little bit dirty and small but you don't sleep there. Breakfast is not spectacular but OK. I would come here again. It's not a 4 Star Hotel but compare to other budget hotels in Dubai this is very good.
