After staying in a noisy hotel in the Barrio Santa Cruz, Melia Lebreros was something of an oasis. The hotel is enormous and completely modern with a great selection of comfortable seating in the lobby. Our room was incredibly spacious and nicely decorated with an enormous bed and tons of channels on the TV. The reception desks were always well-staffed, and there was a separate desk for information. Plus, there was a great shopping mall right across the street! However, note that this hotel is NOT located near the city centre; it is a good 25 minute walk to the historical sites. If you want a comfortable hotel and don't mind walking, this is the one for you.

People traveling in search of experiencing the old charm of Sevilla should probably skip the Melia Lebreros, which is big, modern block of a hotel close to the train station, not the old city center. But I liked it for its superb cleanliness and its convenient-to-the-train location (although I spied a few nice looking hotels even closer to the station, like the Occidental). I also liked its price, the fact it had non-smoking floors and it was totally quiet. The spread that is put out for breakfast borders on the fantastic (there's a non-smoking section there, too). The staff is very friendly. If you don't want to take a chance on a "romantic" old hotel in the busy city center, the Melia Lebreros offers every modern comfort and amenity for a very reasonable price (and taxis are cheap in Seville).
